Silver Quest Announces Senior Appointments

Vancouver, BC -- Silver Quest Resources Ltd. (SQI-TSX.V) (the "Company") is pleased to announce that Mr. Yale R. Simpson has joined its board of directors. Mr. Simpson's extensive business and technical experience will be of significant assistance to the Company's board as it continues to advance its BC and Yukon gold and silver properties.

Mr. Simpson has a Bachelor of Applied Science (Geological Engineering) from the University of British Columbia with particular expertise in strategic planning and corporate communications. He is currently Chairman and Director of Exeter Resource Corporation and brings to the Company more than 30 years of experience as a senior geologist, exploration manager and chief executive officer of companies involved in exploration and development projects in Australia, Africa, Eastern Europe and Argentina.

The Company is also pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. David Pawliuk as Vice President -- Exploration. Mr. Pawiluk holds a Bachelor of Science (Geology) from the University of Edmonton, Alberta. He has over 30 years experience in Canadian and international mineral exploration and is a registered Professional Geoscientist with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia and is a Professional Geologist with the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists in Alberta.

The Company also wishes to announce the granting of incentive stock options to certain directors, officers and employees to purchase up to 250,000 common shares under the Company's Incentive Stock Option Plan exercisable for a period of five (5) years at a price of $0.25 per share.
