Drilling Update on Davidson Property

Vancouver, BC -- Silver Quest Resources Ltd. (SQI-TSX.V) (the "Company") is pleased to provide an update on the drill program currently being conducted on the Davidson Property, which is located approximately 110 kilometres southwest of Vanderhoof, BC and is under option to Richfield Ventures Corp. ("Richfield") (See the Company's news release dated March 24, 2009.) Please see the Company's website www.silverquest.ca for a property location map and a detailed project description. The Davidson Property forms part of Richfield's "Blackwater Project".

Richfield has been actively drilling its Blackwater Project since early August (see Richfield news release dated August 4, 2009). Richfield has completed eight diamond drill holes totally 1,557 metres (see Richfield news release dated September 3, 2009) and has released results for seven of the holes, five of which are collared on the Davidson Property. Silver Quest is pleased with the results from Richfield's program and encourages its shareholders to view the Richfield news releases dated September 15, 2009, September 21, 2009 and September 29, 2009 for a complete list of results.

Of particular interest to Silver Quest shareholders is:

• Hole BW 42, which returned 98 metres of 1.25 g/t gold and 4.8 g/t silver including 32 metres grading 3.25 g/t gold and 9.7 g/t silver and 14 metres grading 6.66 g/t gold and 17.1 g/t silver
• Hole BW 43, which returned 152 metres of 0.77 g/t gold and 5.0 g/t silver including 24.0 metres of 1.20 g/t gold and 7.6 g/t silver
• Hole BW 44, which returned 108 metres of 0.87 g/t gold and 2.7 g/t silver including 3 metres of 13.49 g/t gold and 7.3 g/t silver
• Hole BW 45, which returned 45.5 metres of 0.52 g/t gold and 2.3 g/t silver
• Hole BW 48, which returned 148 metres of 1.26 g/t gold and 5.0 g/t silver including 1 metre of 23.40 g/t gold and 8.1 g/t silver

Due to the encouraging results, Richfield has expanded its first phase drill program (see Richfield news release dated September 25, 2009).

The Company will continue to update shareholders on results from the Davidson Property as they are released to us.
